Hiatal hernia can occurs at any age but the highest risk people who will suffer from the hiatal hernia are the early people, people who are overweight, and weight lifting people. Hernia generally involves penetration of the internal organs through the protective muscle walls that surround them which involved the organ causing the disorder.

Portion your food consumption by taking less portion and more times, try to lose weight and do not wear very tight dress or cloth, stop smoking and drinking alcohol.

Good observation re link between
hernia and heartburn. And I
think its right since I have
both! Actually, the heartburn
hits once in a blue moon, like
when I rush through snacks. But
the hernia is now a real bother.
A personal Web research also
showed there may be no chance of
hernia-alleviating exercises
(well, at least as of the mid
2007, that is). More about

I have sharp pains in my chest, and I was wondering if the hiatal hernia I have could cause this.

The pains resemble an ice pick in my chest.

My blood pressure and heart rate are fine.

Thanks for the ol' internet--cheaper than the Dr., right?
